Pleural Mesothelioma (Thoracoscopy)

Thoracoscopy (Pleuroscopy)
This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that involves making small incisions in the chest and inserting a thoracoscope (a thin tube with a camera and light) to visualize the pleura. Tissue samples are taken under direct visualization, allowing for greater accuracy and control. Thoracoscopy is often used when more substantial tissue samples are needed for diagnosis and to stage the disease.
