Vinorelbine

Vinorelbine is a chemotherapy medication that is sometimes used to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is often used in combination with other chemotherapy drugs, such as cisplatin or pemetrexed.

Vinorelbine works by interfering with the growth and division of cancer cells. When used to treat NSCLC, vinorelbine can help to shrink tumors and slow the progression of the disease.

However, vinorelbine can also cause a number of side effects, including:

  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Hair loss
  • Fatigue
  • Low blood cell counts
  • Nerve damage
  • Mouth sores
