Nausea, vomiting and mucositis are common after administration of amsacrine. Diarrhoea occurs in about 10–20% of patients (Louie & Issell, 1985). Stomatitis and mucositis become more frequent with higher doses (> 120 mg/m2) (Slevin et al., 1981).
