Cyclosporin Immunosuppressant for autoimmune disorders and prevention of allograft rejection. 10–15 mg/kg/d with milk or fruit juice, gradually reduce to 2–6 mg/kg/d as maintenance dose for 6 months-1 year. Intravenous dose is one-third of oral and is available as 0.05-0.25% solution in 5% dextrose or normal saline. Administer slowly over 2–6 hr.

Side Effects: Nephrotoxicity, tremors, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, gingival hyperplasia and hirsutism.

(Graftin, sandimmune oral caps 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg; inj immusol, restasis, zymmune, sandimmune 100 mg/ml, 50 ml vial).
