Rivastigmine (Use in Special Populations)
- Elderly: Rivastigmine is primarily prescribed to elderly patients as they are more likely to suffer from Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease-related dementia.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: The safety of rivastigmine during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established. It should be used only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
