Erlotinib (Resistance)

  • Primary Resistance: Some patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC may have intrinsic resistance to erlotinib due to additional mutations or alternative signaling pathways.
  • Acquired Resistance: Over time, many patients develop resistance to erlotinib, often due to secondary mutations in the EGFR gene (such as T790M) or activation of alternative pathways (such as MET amplification)
