Indications:
- Brain tumors: Carmustine is used to treat primary brain tumors, such as glioblastoma, anaplastic astrocytoma, and medulloblastoma.
- Lymphoma: It is used to treat Hodgkin’s lymphoma and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
- Multiple myeloma: Carmustine is used in combination with other drugs to treat multiple myeloma.
- Melanoma: It is used to treat metastatic melanoma.
- Hodgkin’s disease: Carmustine is used as part of a regimen to treat Hodgkin’s disease.
Off-label uses:
- Gliomatosis cerebri: Carmustine has been used off-label to treat gliomatosis cerebri, a rare brain tumor.
- Ependymoma: It has been used to treat ependymoma, a type of brain tumor.
