Degree of Severity: Severe

  • Factor VIII or IX level: <1%
  • Clinical Features: Spontaneous hemarthrosis and muscle hematomas, several times in a month

Degree of Severity: Moderate

  • Factor VIII or IX level: 1-5%
  • Clinical Features: Minor trauma or surgery induces bleeding

Degree of Severity: Mild

  • Factor VIII or IX level: 75%
  • Clinical Features: Major trauma or surgery results in excessive bleeding
