Extensor indices muscle

It originates from the posterior portion of the distal third of body of ulna and gets inserted into the dorsal aponeurosis of index finger. It is innervated by the posterior interrosseus nerve and artery supply is through the posterior interrosseus artery. It’s chief action is extension of index finger and assists in dorsiflexion of wrist and mid carpal joints.
