Pantoprazole (Mechanism of Action)

Pantoprazole is a medication belonging to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

Mechanism of Action: Pantoprazole works by reducing the production of stomach acid. It does this by irreversibly blocking the proton pump (H+/K+ ATPase) in the stomach lining, which is responsible for releasing acid into the stomach.
