Frontalis muscle

It originates from the galea aponeurotica below the coronal suture on the skull and gets inserted into the skin of the eyebrows and blends with the orbicularis oculi. It is innervated by the facial nerve and artery supply is through the supraorbital and supratrochlear arteries. Its chief action is raising of the eyebrows and wrinkles on the forehead.
