Extensor Hallucis Longus Muscle
It originates from the middle 2/4th of the anterior surface of fibula and also from the interrosseus membrane and gets inserted into the dorsal surface of distal phalanx of big toe. It is innervated by the deep fibular nerve and artery supply is through the anterior tibial artery. It’s chief action is extension of big toe, dorsiflexion of ankle joint, and weak inversion and eversion of foot.
