Superior Gemellus Muscle

It originates from the the outer surface of ischial spine of pelvis and gets inserted into the medial surface of greater trochanter of femur along with obturator internus muscle. It is innervated by the nerve to obturator internus or nerve to quadratus femoris or both and artery supply is through the inferior gluteal artery. It’s chief action is lateral rotation of hip joint.
