Obturator Externus Muscle

It originates from the margin around the medial side and medial 2/3rd of outer surface of obturator membrane and inferior pubic ramus and ramus of ischium and gets inserted into the trochanteric fossa of femur. It is innervated by the obturator nerve and artery supply is through the obturator artery. It’s chief action is adduction and lateral rotation at hip joint.
