Treatment

Drug therapy for Multiple Myeloma include

Chemo drugs like Melphalan, Cyclophosphamide, Vincristine etc

Corticosteroids like Dexamethasone etc

Immunomodulating agents like Thalidomide,Lenlidomide etc

Proteasome Inhibitors like Bortezomib,Carfilzomib etc

Histone deacetylase inhibitors like Panobinostat.

Monoclonal antibodies like Daratumumab,Elotuzumab.

Medical management of primary induction therapy in patients with multiple myeloma National Comprehensive Cancer Network recommend following combinations of Proteasome Inhibitors,Immunomodulating agents or Chemotherapeutic drugs and Corticosteroids :-

Bortezomib/lenalidomide/dexamethasone

Bortezomib/cyclophosphamide/dexamethasone

Other drug combinations include

lenalidomide/dexamethasone

Carfilzomib/lenalidomide/dexamethasone

Panobinostat/bortezomib/dexamethasone

Elotuzumab/bortezomib/dexamethasone

Vincristine/doxorubicin/dexamethasone

Melphalan/prednisone with or without thalidomide or bortezomib

Dexamethasone/cyclophosphamide/etoposide/cisplatin

Dexamethasone/thalidomide/cisplatin/doxorubicin/cyclophosphamide/etoposide with or without bortezomib

Biphosphonates are used for associated bone diseases

Adjunct Therapy include

Surgical Intervention

Plasmapheresis
