Long acting beta-2 agonist like Salmeterol,Formoterol etc

Inhaled Corticosteroids like Budesonide,Beclomethasone dipropionate etc

Combination of Budesonide and Formoterol

Anticholinergics like Ipratropium Bromide

Breathing Retraining Techniques

Buteyko Breathing Technique

Respiratory Muscle Training

Range of Motion Exercises

Removal of Secretions via Percussion, Shaking, Vibration, Postural Drainage, Effective Coughing etc

  1. Leukotriene receptor antagonists like Monteleukast are used before certain activities like physical exercise which can trigger an attack of asthma in some individuals. They are effective agents im preventing an attack unlike B2 agonists and anticholinergics which are used to control an acute episode.
