Incisional Hernia

It is a type of hernia caused because of an incompletely healed surgical wound, it occurs at or in close proximity to a surgical incision in other words Incisional Hernia is one where the peritoneal sac herniates through n acquired scar in the abdominal wall caused by pervious surgery or accidental trauma. Clinically presented as a bulge or Protrusion at or near the surgical area. Open Hernia Repair also known as Herniorrhaphy and Minimal Invasive Laparoscopic surgery are performed to treat Incisional Hernia.
