Causes and Symptoms
Plantar warts are highly contagious, is caused by HPV (Human Papilloma virus) and is clinically characterized by raised, rough, small, bumpy growths on the sole of the feet that are occasionally painful and appears as small black dots.
Risk factors
Skin-skin contact with affected individual or by sharing footwears or socks. It can also spread by sharing uncleaned socks and footwear.
Weak immune system such as diabetes or HIV etc
Walk bare foot in public showers, swimming pools, locker rooms etc.
