Progeria is a type of rare autosomal dominant genetic disorder that causes a person to age rapidly it is caused due to mutation in LMNA gene. It’s usual onset is 9-24 months by that time the Symptoms becomes apparent. There are several types of Progeria but classical type is the Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome. Children with Progeria have a average life expectancy of 14 years.
