Radiographic Presentation of Lumbar Canal Spinal Stenosis

In this article we will discuss about Radiographic Presentation of Lumbar Canal Spinal Stenosis. So let’s get started.

MRI and CT scan is gold standard imaging technique for Lumbar Canal Spinal Stenosis. The goal of spinal imaging is to localise the site of lumbar canal spinal stenosis and also to differentiate the various lumbar spinal conditions for proper diagnosis. Here are few MRI samples that suggests Lumbar Canal Spinal Stenosis.

As seen in above samples in lumbar canal spinal stenosis we observe the narrowing of the spinal canal at lumbar spine level and also the vertebrae is compressing the spinal cord and spinal nerves which is symptomatically signified by numbness and tingling sensation in unilateral or bilateral lower limb depending upon the lumbar spine level, for a better diagnosis always correlate it clinically.
