Frequently preceded by Infection like respiratory or intestinal infection

Can affect any age group but older patients are most likely to be affected

Guillain-Barre Syndrome can be triggered by infection with Campylobacter Jejuni, Epstein Barr Virus, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
