This disease develops 2-4 weeks after a streptococcus throat infection.

Following is the JONES criteria for clinical presentation of Rheumatic Fever.

Major Criteria



Erythema Marginatum

Subcutaneous Nodules

Syndenham’s Chorea

Minor Criteria


Raised ESR


Long PR Interval on ECG

Other Symptoms include

Chest Pain


Heart Murmur
