I sometimes really feel bad when I see kids with type 1. My mother diagnosed with type 2 3 years ago and she’s controlling it with food as she has SKD -3 and can’t take insulin.
Since she has type 2 insulin is not required instead anti diabetic drugs like metformin,sulphonylureas etc are drug of choice consult a diabetologist or endocrinologist.
Yes, she goes every six months to see all of them. I don’t skip any appointment for her.
That’s Great regular follow ups, diet control, proper and timely medications, regular gentle aerobic exercises,walking etc is the gold standard treatment of diabetes.
