Rotator cuff Musculature

It consists of four main muscles. They are discussed below:

SUPRASPINATUS MUSCLE

ORIGIN
Supraspinous fossa of scapula.
INSERTION
Superior facet of greater tubercle of humerus.
ARTERY
Suprascapular Artery.
NERVE
Suprascapular Nerve.
MOVEMENT
Abduction of Arm.

INFRASPINATUS MUSCLE

ORIGIN
Infraspinous fossa of scapula.
INSERTION
Middle facet of greater tubercle of humerus.
ARTERY
Suprascapular Artery and Circumflex Scapular Arteries.
NERVE
Suprascapular Nerve.
MOVEMENT
Lateral Rotation of Arm.

TERES MINOR MUSCLE

ORIGINLateral Border of Scapula.
INSERTION

Inferior facet of greater tubercle of humerus.
ARTERY
Posterior Circumflex Humeral Artery and Circumflex Scapular Arteries.
NERVE
Axillary Nerve.
MOVEMENT

Lateral Rotation of Arm.

SUBSCAPULARIS MUSCLE

ORIGIN

Subscapular fossa of scapula.
INSERTION
Lesser tubercle of humerus.
ARTERY
Subscapular Artery.
NERVE
Upper and Lower Subscapular Nerve.
MOVEMENT
Internal Rotation and Adduction of Arm.

you’re right ! it helped me big time also after a ruptured triceps (actually the bone cracked..the muscle was intact) . regained strenght and range indeed 🙂

well, it is “workable”..a way of saying . the problem was that the surgery wich reatached the triceps into the bone(ruptured a small piece of bone from my elbow due to big weight training) ..i supose they did reatached the muscle but by cutting it in two peaces and fixated it on the bone by inserting two little plates of titanium(i’ve been told) . so , it is workable but never got the strenght back and,most importantly,never got the dexterity/flexibility back. the plates wich they inserted in my bone were not really in the right place i think and have no doubts about it. but,it’s the way life goes.i should of not get injured this way in the first place no ? 😉 thanks for asking
